Investing in Infrastructure in the Face of Geopolitical Uncertainty
Geopolitical uncertainty is among the top risks highlighted in this year’s World Economic Forum’s Global Risk Report. In this heightened risk environment, we have seen trade and investment flows significantly affected by various geopolitical risk drivers, namely: the Russia-Ukraine conflict, US-China tensions, the retreat of globalization in preference for near-shoring, regional trading blocks and a rise in protectionism of strategic industries. This new paradigm is affecting the short- and long-term plans of infrastructure investors, compelling many to reassess strategies. Making the right investment decision in this risky and financially challenging environment has become ever more complex.
This panel discussion will bring together leading industry, finance, insurance, and macroeconomic experts to discuss how the current geopolitical environment is impacting risk strategy, finance, and investment decisions.

- Moderator: Chantal Brazeau, Marsh Canada
