Peru has an infrastructure gap of US$160 billion. Despite this gap, the country offers an opportunity for foreign developed countries to invest in a variety of infrastructure projects under Public Private Partnership or Works for Taxes mechanisms. The future growth prospects and sound economy of the country, which maintains a GDP growth above Latin American region (4.3% vs. 2.4%, last 5 years average), unlocks an array of new financial products that could be used to finance them. This event will address the infrastructure projects’ needs and challenges of the Peruvian regional governments and discuss new finance products and strategies that could be used to finance these projects.

El Perú tiene una brecha en infraestructura de US$ 160 billones. A pesar de esta brecha, el país ofrece oportunidades para que países desarrollados inviertan en una variedad de proyectos de infraestructura bajo mecanismos de Asociaciones Público-Privadas u Obras por Impuestos. Las perspectivas de crecimiento futuro y la solidez económica del país, que mantiene un crecimiento del PBI por encima de la región Latinoamericana (4.3% frente a 2.4%, promedio de los últimos 5 años), lo cual abre una serie de nuevos productos financieros que podrían utilizarse para financiar estos proyectos. Este evento abordará las necesidades y retos de los proyectos de infraestructura propuestos por los gobiernos regionales peruanos y discutirá los nuevos productos y estrategias financieras que podrían ser utilizados para financiar dichos proyectos.
