Event Summary:

The public private partnership markets are taking off and seeing more growth in greenfield toll road projects, especially managed lanes. Investors and bondholders assess a key part of the project risk using traffic and revenue forecasts. These reports are highly sensitive to key inputs and the results once the roads open, have been mixed. This panel will discuss the key factors to consider for evaluating the traffic and revenue forecasts. Is this risk appropriate for private investors or to justify the business case?

Robert Bain, ex-Standard & Poor’s and author ‘Toll Road Traffic and Revenue Forecasts: An Interpreter’s Guide’, will provide a keynote address on forecasting challenges and predictive reliability, with an emphasis on Managed Lane projects.

This briefing will include a range of industry speakers, including: Arthur Simonson, Utilities, Infrastructure, and Structured Finance Ratings, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services; Jodi Hecht, Director, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services; Robert Bain, RBconsult Ltd; Jonathan Dingle, Associate Investment Director, Meridiam Infrastructure North America; Susan Rhudy, CFA, Director, Citigroup and Steve Abendschein, Principal, Stantec.
