Public Private Partnerships (P3s) have become widely accepted in Canada by all levels of government as an effective method of project delivery. P3 projects are successful in Canada largely because of the private sector discipline brought to bear on the project by private sector debt investors. These debt investors, and the rating agencies rating the project debt, more often than not require structured credit enhancements as part of the performance security package securing their investment. This event will explore structured credit enhancements currently used in the Canadian P3 space and new credit enhancements on the horizon. Attendees will gain valuable insights on structured credit enhancements from a panel consisting of participants active in the Canadian P3 market, including: investors, a developer, an owner, a rating agency and a risk advisor.
