Project financing for the development of North American energy assets and related infrastructure is increasingly becoming a finance option that investors are considering.
The panel will focus on financing LNG projects and related infrastructure on Canada’s Pacific Coast and will discuss key issues for investors considering limited recourse project financing of such projects and assets.
Issues to be considered include (a) financing an undivided interest in an LNG project, (b) structuring a project to facilitate multiple sources of debt financing and monetization of aspects of an integrated project, (c) differences between Pacific coast and U.S. Gulf coast projects, and (d) methods of reducing borrowing costs, including approaches to risk allocation and completion risk.
