Event Summary:

As the Philippines gears up to roll-out and implement large-scale PPP projects, the Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPP Center) is exploring several mechanisms to tap capital markets as a financing option for PPP projects.

The Forum will bring together PPP investors, financial institutions, government agencies and other major stakeholders in the PPP program to discuss the government's policy proposals, innovative reforms and regulatory initiatives aimed at strengthening and bolstering Philippine capital markets for PPPs.

The panelists will explore PPP equity securities listing and PPP project bond issuances: the advantages and challenges in using these instruments, the existing legal and regulatory framework, and the requirements for successful listing and issuance. Applying these principles, the current pipeline of PPP projects in the Philippines and other jurisdictions will be analyzed as candidates for capital market financing.
