Event Summary:

Project Finance lenders are increasingly using Comprehensive Non-Payment Insurance as an alternative and sometimes complementary solution to traditional loan sell-downs. Traditionally Comprehensive Non-Payment insurance or guarantees were the preserve of the ECAs and Multilaterals. Not any longer. The number of providers of this type of cover in the private insurance market has been growing and Project Finance banks are increasingly using the private market to help: increase ticket sizes, manage country and sector exposures, reduce regulatory capital and Risk-Weighted Assets and free-up head-room for new deals.

With speakers from the banking, insurance and broking communities, this interactive session will: give an introduction to Comprehensive Non-Payment Insurance for Project Finance lenders, show you who the insurers are and what criteria they look for in a deal, what the process is, the benefits for lenders using the product and why it has now become a viable alternative risk mitigation solution for leading Project Finance banks.
