Event Summary:

As energy markets in Asia start to move further and further away from the use of coal fired power generation to address much needed electricity capacity constraints, the focus is shifting towards "Gas-to-Power" projects, the associated development of LNG markets and Renewables. In South and South East Asia in particular, there are currently a number of opportunities in these areas. Absent recent regulatory uncertainties, arguably the most active Gas-to-Power market is Indonesia although Myanmar is also looking at a number of potential transactions. Renewables projects are taking off in India, Bangladesh, Thailand and potentially Indonesia. We have brought together a number of relevant players in this space with a view to updating people on recent developments and outlining current thinking on the immediate and future prospects for "Gas-to-Power" and Renewables projects in South and South East Asia.
