Event Summary:

As Myanmar emerges from years of isolation, it is transforming. There are reforms occurring in the government and the public sector, the business and macro-economic environment, greater emphasis made on the development of human capital and poverty reduction and the pursuit of sustainable and environmentally friendly growth. Through this remarkable period of change, Myanmar faces an enormous and urgent challenge to meet its infrastructure needs. So how will it attract the much needed investment into priority areas such as transport, power and telecommunication?

This inaugural IPFA session in Yangon explores the current state of play of Myanmar’s infrastructure landscape, the opportunities for private capital, the challenges of raising early stage and project financing and the viability of PPP in Myanmar.
