Event Summary:

The FLN invites Future Leaders to join us for an enlightening talk from Amy Brown, Infrastructure and Service Contestability Advisory Partner at PwC, who will be sharing her experiences, challenges and successes in the industry. This will be followed by the opportunity to network with other Future Leaders at a drinks reception, kindly hosted by PwC.

"When I read Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s statement in her book Lean In that it’s better to think of your career as a jungle gym rather than a ladder, it absolutely resonated for me.

I’ve been a barrister’s gofer on a high powered defamation case (interspersed with some uni and the odd acting job); worked in 2 top tier Australian law firms; a US law firm based in London doing power projects in the middle east; run a fitness company; worked on Project Populate (ie had 2 kids); been a bank employee, a government employee and now a partner of a major accounting firm – who would’ve guessed?! All with a borderline dress-sense.

And whilst my career journey has been eclectic, tempestuous and at times utterly exhausting– it’s a journey I wouldn’t change for anything and which has led me to be clear on who I am, what I stand for, and what I’m willing to spend most of my waking hours doing.

I’m looking forward to sharing some of what I’ve learnt along the way, and - at the very least - a few cracking good stories." Amy Brown, Infrastructure and Service Contestability Advisory Partner, PwC
