Event Summary:

All eyes are on NSW when it comes to infrastructure investment. Assets were recycled, deals were done and sods were turned. But where to from here? Between the State’s historic recycling of assets to fund record infrastructure investment and the Commonwealth’s shift from grant funding to directly participating in ‘investable projects’, what does the medium-term pipeline of infrastructure deals look like in NSW?

IPFA invites you to join our hosts Arup and Moody’s for this year’s NSW Government Update. Executive Director at Infrastructure NSW Marina Grobbelaar will reflect on the recent infrastructure deals and give her perspective on the state of play. A panel spanning the key players in an infrastructure deal will then join Marina to provide their views and respond to your questions on the status and pipeline of infrastructure investment in NSW, including:
- Has the State’s asset recycling programme achieved its objectives?
- What are the implications of the Commonwealth’s new approach?
- Where are the opportunities to deepen the pipeline of “investable” future transactions?
- Will new accounting statement AASB1059 affect government appetite given assets could remain on balance-sheet notwithstanding private participation? Will this affect State credit ratings?
-Is the private sector becoming more willing to accept greenfield risk?

The full agenda will be announced soon.

Please note that, following your registration, your email address will be added to the relevant regional mailing list to keep you informed of upcoming IPFA operations. Your details will NOT be shared with third parties and you can opt out at any time.
