Event Summary:

2016 was a groundbreaking year for the Benelux renewable energy sector. Investors have not stopped finding their ways into greenfield renewable energy projects. Ample liquidity and new entrants unremittingly put pressure on pricing and financing terms. As elsewhere in Europe, the offshore wind sector has been setting the pace, with two closings in Belgium and the successful Borssele 1, 2, 3 and 4 tenders in the Netherlands.

2016 might at the same time be a tipoff that the landscape of renewable energy is fundamentally changing.
In Belgium, the public debate on the level of support for renewables has found new grounds and with Borssele, the Dutch government irrevocably introduced a tender system replacing the much-valued feed-in tariff / green-certificate systems.

The IPFA forum will focus on the future challenges in the broader renewable energy sector, with distinct speakers from both industry and advisory.
