During the last years the Netherlands procured a significant pipeline of DBFM(O) infrastructure projects. Both transportation and social infrastructure. As a result tendering of such projects has increasingly become a ‘business as usual’ activity for many parties involved, including the contracting authority, developers and contractors, financiers and advisers. Nevertheless the markets in which these parties have been acting has been rather dynamic, starting with funders as from 2008 and more recently as regards contractors. Furthermore, how successful these projects are during their contract phase is sometimes less obvious and in particular how parties are dealing with ‘issues’ that almost inevitably happen during a project life looks like a black box. During this gathering aimed at our future leaders, we will seek to exchange ideas on infrastructure developments and projects dealing with said ‘issues’.
