Event Summary:

Capital markets funding of infrastructure projects in Europe evolved and developed in 2014 ranging from energy to roads. There are a number of active institutional investors, many potential new entrants and evolving structures intending to facilitate broader participation in the context of the need for future infrastructure investments. At the same time the “classical” bank debt financing in Europe remains present and now faces the competition of the capital markets.

This session will focus on recent capital market developments in Europe and how those are influencing the infrastructure finance in the region. We will hear the investor and the bank perspective and discuss about the opportunities for international investors. Key speakers form financial and public institutions as well as institutional investors and sponsors will tackle the question on new financing trends and continuing market evolution.
