Project finance is a hot topic in Africa, now more than ever, and so are environmental and social risks associated therewith. Clifford Chance and ERM are partnering to organise an event that will take place in Paris on 26 March and tackles the issues of political, environmental and social risks in the context of project finance in Africa. Clifford Chance and ERM will provide advice to stakeholders (including governmental authorities, corporate, financial institutions and export credit agencies) on the most effective way to navigate in a sea of norms. In light of recent experience, they will address key issues such as: the do's and don'ts in project finance, the best way to handle the various and numerous norms: from basic (but essential) definitions to advice on their drafting, as well as the delicate issue of political risks.
