2017 is expected to see a boost for road infrastructure development. This target may be achieved with the number of initiatives taken by central government, such as The National Contracting Forum or progressing governmental PPP policy, which are to support projects on both central and regional/municipal level.
This year should also bring the close of the road pilot PPP project in Poland, which may be a trigger for the development of regional road infrastructure in the wider scale. A tender for a new operator of the national Toll Collection System was announced on the central level, opening the discussion on the approach to the toll collection. Motorway concessions are entering their 20th anniversary, so lessons learnt from their operations could also be a good starting point for consideration of potential new projects.
The IPFA forum will focus on these current and future challenges in the road transport sector in Poland, with distinct speakers from both industry and advisory.
