There has been limited use of private finance in Sweden with only a few large scale PPP projects to date. Public sector has a lower cost of finance so private sector needs to demonstrate and deliver efficiency gains from delivering more and better for the same cost. How can this be achieved and in which circumstances does the private sector contribute to driving efficiency in public sector infrastructure? The event will debate if and how the private sector can add value for money, its track record to date and demonstrate with actual Nordic projects where there has been successful cooperation. Focus will be on Swedish past, existing and future infrastructure projects with speakers from both public and private sector.
