The Gautrain Management Agency (GMA) is responsible for managing, co-ordinating and overseeing the Gautrain Project on behalf of the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) and will be sharing its lessons learned on the financial modelling of Gautrain. Other topics at the event will include financing of projects in South Africa and the process and financing of acquisition of rolling stock.

The Gautrain is a public transport rapid rail project that connects the three metros of Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni in the Gauteng Province of South of Africa. The Project was financed as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and manifested in a Concession Agreement between the GPG and a private sector company Bombela Concession Company (BCC) Pty Ltd in September 2006.
