There are already over 2,000 district heat networks (DHNs) in the UK, some of which have been operating for over 50 years; However, the UK is still a long way from accessing the full potential of heat networks including climate change benefits, hence the Government announced over £300 million of capital to support investment in heat networks at last year’s spending review. In this event we will aim to cover the following in relation to the DHNs:
- Assessing feasibility of scheme
- Various procurement, commercial and funding options including Private Finance
- Commercial Models
- Revenue Generation Opportunities: Asset Monetisation - Regulatory options and Compliance; Smart Grids as a Demand Response Solution
- District Energy Schemes abroad (e.g Europe and District Cooling Systems in the Middle East),
