Speaker: John Seed BSc (Hons) MEng MBA CEng MICE MAPM, Global Sector Lead – Advisory Services, Mott MacDonald & IPFA Board Member

The Webinar will start with some of the key messages coming out of this year’s Global Infrastructure Forum regarding the Multilateral Development Bank’s support for inclusive and sustainable project preparation. The presentation will cover the key elements of good project preparation, including the Business Case, and how these affect the bankability of the project for private sector lenders and investors. John Seed will talk about current trends in capacity building, international guidance, risk mitigation and credit enhancement initiatives as well as cloud based project preparation tools such as the new ‘Source’ platform. Finally, John will cover key messages coming from the MDB’s regarding infrastructure as a catalyst to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how and when this needs to be factored into the project preparation cycle. 

Agenda: 30-35 minute presentation followed by Q&A session
