IPFA Europe: Munich: Risk Mitigation in Renewable Energy Projects Until 2020
In the past, there has been a lot of focus on infrastructure projects from a commercial, financial and legal point of view. However, the benefits of risk assessment and placement have been underestimated somehow. There are multiple opportunities within the scope of an infrastructure’s lifecycle to enhance, protect, subsidize or facilitate infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Project risk assessment starts at the very early stages, ideally in the development phase of a envisaged project. Investors, equity providers and developers should evaluate the projects’ perils well in advance to understand how to limit liabilities, reduce costs and even facilitate projects that might not be bankable without those solutions.
During this event, we will discuss experiences placing Warranty & Indemnity and Title Insurance, as well as discuss in different points of view on the current infrastructure environment and how the infrastructure environment is going to develop in the near future. Here we will focus on Renewable Energy projects, and how investors will position themselves in an increasingly competitive market.
