IPFA Americas: New York: US Offshore Wind - Lessons Learned from Other Markets
Please note that this event was previously schedule to take place on Wednesday, June 6. It will now take place on Tuesday, June 5.
The development of offshore wind projects continues to attract more and more interest in the United States, and such projects raise a number of issues that have not previously been addressed in US land-based wind projects. However, in the UK and European markets many offshore wind projects have already been successfully developed and financed. While there is no "one size fits all" structure, the lessons learned on such previous projects can bring valuable insights for the US market. Our panel will discuss challenges faced in these other markets, solutions adopted and how they may or may not be adaptable for US projects.
