With $35 billion to invest in major infrastructure projects, and with $1.3 billion already committed to a major transit project, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) looks set to emerge as a major project financier. Given its mandate to invest in revenue-generating projects, what tools and project structures will the CIB use to invest its available capital and develop a project inventory? How will the CIB leverage other project finance sources and crowd-in private capital? What obstacles does CIB perceive and how can industry help the CIB fulfil its mandate? This session will explore the CIB’s mandate, plans and investments to date to provide participants a better understanding of the CIB.

This sesssion will be opened with remarks from Pierre Lavallée, CEO, Canada Infrastructure Bank
