IPFA Japan: Tokyo: Assessing Environmental Risks in Credit Analysis
TO REGISTER: please scroll down to the bottom of this webpage and click 'Book'
Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is fast evolving as an investment criterion, yet the standards and taxonomies for financing and investing in ESG is still a work in progress. Investors are seeking sustainable projects to put their money, while corporates, financial institutions, and government entities consider a growing array of options to raise capital for ever-tightening environmental requirements. Environmental risk has long been a critical aspect of credit risk. As ESG investment products develop, so have approaches and tools to make environmental risk more transparent to market participants.
A panel of experts will discuss how to incorporate environmental risk in their analysis and implications of environmental risks to Japan’s corporate and infrastructure sectors. Attendees will gain valuable insights into carbon transition risks and implications of those risks to companies’ operating conditions, credit and funding schemes, including green bonds.
Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be available at this event.
