Waste Not Want Not: an Interactive Look at Projects in the Waste Sector
Please note this event was originally scheduled to take place 13 November
The waste sector has been featuring regularly in the news in recent months. Some developments, such as commencement of construction on Australia's first large-scale energy from waste facility at Kwinana, financing of Sacyr's first treatment plant for municipal organic waste and a review by Infrastructure Victoria of the infrastructure necessary to support the sector, have been positive. Other developments have been less so, with the sector facing challenges in markets for recycled products and both government and community concerns about export, stockpiling and landfill practices.
Join our experts for an interactive look at the contractual, financial and commercial issues underpinning projects in the waste sector in Australia. This is an opportunity to learn more about this developing sector and discuss the issues in an interactive format. Attendees will rotate between small group discussions with experts and their peers in a relaxed environment and with questions encouraged. IPFA and DLA Piper look forward to welcoming the future leaders group to the session and accompanying network drinks and nibbles.
