Event Summary:

IPFA Australia: Melbourne: The Future of PPPs in Australia

Given the importance of public infrastructure in the current economic life of Australia, achieving value for money from continuing public investment is critical. Public-private partnerships remain a critical procurement option for governments focusing on timely delivery and long-term outcomes for asset users and service providers.

We continue to see the model evolve across multiple jurisdictions and this event will share some insights on some of the key issues in the market. Increasing contractual flexibility, augmentation of existing assets and the possibilities for wrapping brownfield upgrades into greenfield projects will all be up for discussion. Speakers will discuss the most effective role of the special purpose vehicle (SPV) and the opportunities for corporate led PPP projects.
