IPFA Australia: Sydney FLN: Sustainable Finance: Linking Funding Strategies with Sustainability Objectives
The last 12 months have seen significant growth in the market for Sustainable Finance, as the private sector increasingly recognises its role in creating positive environmental and social outcomes. A select number of borrowers and issuers have taken this role one step further, having successfully demonstrated their own Sustainability Credentials by tying their sources of funding with their sustainability ambitions.
Whilst the number of Sustainability labelled transactions has been growing year on year, the past year in particular has seen significant innovation with a number of Australian market firsts including the first ‘Green Loan’ and first ‘Sustainability Linked Loan’. The Sustainable bond market also continues to develop, with the first certified Green Bond issued by an Australian retailer and the largest social bond issued by a non-bank Australian issuer.
Please join us as we speak with a panel of issuers and borrowers who have acted as champions of sustainable finance through their innovative transactions.
