What is 'growth mindset'? How does a change of mindset affect our performance, leadership and teams?
Find out what growth mindset means and how to apply this in your everyday actions that positively impact your work and personal lives. The theory behind growth mindset originates from Carol Dweck, Professor of Psychology at Stanford University whose seminal work on mindset explores the theory that individuals who believe their talents can be developed by hard work, effort and applying effective strategies have a growth mindset. Their efforts enable them to achieve more than those with a more fixed mindset who believe their talents are innate gifts. Those with a fixed mindset can be consumed with looking smart at all costs and will be less inclined to take opportunities to learn.
