The Role of Digital in the Post-Covid Recovery of our Cities

Our Global Infratech Series is back for its final episode!

Cities have a central role to play in recovery from this global pandemic-- over 80% of global GDP is produced in them. The pandemic has accelerated the digitalisation of working and spending that could lead to changes in city centres, retail, mobility and real estate. The need for a green and just recovery alongside considerable projected spending on green infrastructure in Europe, the US and China offers opportunities for innovation in cities to help meet these challenges. Join us as we discuss how digital innovation should be deployed, what are the risks and where are the immediate opportunities.

Speakers:

- Moderator: Lean Doody, Associate Director, Integrated Cities & Planning Leader, Europe, Arup

- Greg Clark, Global Advisor on Cities, HSBC

- Eddy Hartog, Head of Unit Technologies for Smart Communities, European Commission

- Debra Lam, Founding Executive Director, Partnership for Inclusive Innovation
