IPFA Middle East
Integrating ESG in Capital Decision Making – How Do We Use Capital to Instigate Change in the Middle East?

Join us for an evening of stimulating debate on how Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors are integrated into financial decision-making to drive positive change and impact. An opportunity to network and exchange ideas with senior stakeholders within Government, Financial Services firms, ESG rating providers and corporates.

We recognise the need for governments and businesses to evolve and adapt these factors as they face complex financial, economic, social and environmental challenges. Some of these pressing questions that we will bring forward involve:

- How far off are we from best practice of incorporating ESG into investment and lending decisions transitioning to be standard practice? What does good governance look like when it takes ESG into account in every decision?

- What role will risk and profit play as we transition to a more sustainable and low carbon economy?

- How can we shift focus from the E to also include more of the S?

- What does the future hold for ESG aligned investment?

Speakers:

- Anna Jakobsen, EMEA Lead, Sustainability, Resilience and ESG, GHD (Moderator)

- Ibrahim Al Zubi Chief Sustainability Officer, Majid Al Futtaim

- Timucin Engin, Senior Director, Cross-Practice Country Coordinator, GCC Region, S&P Global
