Event Summary:

Digital Infrastructure - The Future of Digital Fibre in the UK

2022 saw investment into Fibre Broadband at record levels. Ever increasing consumer demand for “gigabit” speed broadband has resulted in the over 100 alternative networks or “Alt Nets” being set up in the UK market to challenge industry giants such as Openreach and Virgin Media, resulting in billions of pounds of investment from both private capital as well as government funding flowing into the industry.

During this event we will touch upon what the future of the Fibre Broadband industry looks like including the rapid build and scaling of Alt Nets, continued funding to the sector including government grants, consolidation of the industry and strategies to maximise investor value.

Speakers:

Matt Hammond, Foresight Group (Moderator)

Matt Agar, DCMS

Katie Nagy de Nagyzbaczon, CMS

Carlos Bock, F&W Fibre
