IPFA FLN Africa
The Long Walk to Energy Independence
Could the removal of the 100MW limit enable an energy self-sufficient private sector that could sustain the economy?
By now, it is clear that the private sector and citizens must play a role in contributing to a self-sufficient energy supply. As the country continues to face rolling blackouts, and we begin the road to finding "our freedom", we explore the future of the energy industry in South Africa. Will the removal of the 100MW limit be enough to help achieve energy independence? What other mechanisms should the government be considering in order to end loadshedding?
Join your FLN peers for an interactive discussion about how to move our industry forward and take a step closer to sustainable energy solutions in South Africa.
