This roundtable is part of an exclusive series developed for senior members of IPFA. Connecting key industry figures and senior government officials in the infrastructure and energy sector, for an intimate and interactive closed room discussion around the latest industry developments.

Drawing on his new book, How to Survive a Crisis: Lessons in Resilience and Avoiding Disaster, Professor Sir David Omand will examine the dangers facing the national infrastructure from State and criminal cyberattacks.

- How investors and executives can best act upstream to manage the risks on the basis that with adequate preparation not all emergencies need become crises

Speaker:
Sir David Omand GCB is Visiting Professor in War Studies, King’s College London. His posts in British government service included UK Security and Intelligence Coordinator in the Cabinet Office, Permanent Secretary of the Home Office, Director of the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), and Deputy Under-Secretary of State for Policy in the Ministry of Defence, He served for seven years on the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC).
