Unpacking the Progress on South Africa’s Energy Action Plan
South Africa’s Energy Transition has had a significant boost through the launch of the Presidential Energy Action Plan, which aims to deliver 3 key objectives:
1) End load shedding and ensure energy security
2) Increase new generation to ensure energy sustainability
3) Fundamentally reform the energy sector
Cautious optimism is growing in our ability to end load shedding through improving Eskom performance and the accelerating levels of private sector investment in wind and solar generation. The pace and scale of our Energy Transition however remains well behind the targets required to decarbonise in line with our Nationally Determined Contributions.
Join us as our keynote speaker and expert panel share their thoughts on whether South Africa's energy sector is creating the investor confidence and certainty that will allow the vast flow of finance required to 2030 as a key stepping stone towards a future Net Zero.
