Delivering Water Infrastructure Projects – Opportunities and Learnings
A new era has dawned, and a 'water transition' is now fast emerging.
In the wake of recent extreme weather events and existing water stress caused by climate change, competing sector demands and ageing and inefficient water infrastructure, investment in water infrastructure is becoming increasingly important to the global economy. However, there are both opportunities and challenges in the water reuse and reclamation industry which will require a multi-pronged approach in order to deliver sustainable growth in this sector.
As a number of governments increase spending on water related infrastructure, significant investment opportunities will emerge to meet demand for water reuse and reclamation infrastructure in Australia and globally and we examine the opportunities for private sector investors and look at some of the funding and procurement models used internationally to deliver water infrastructure projects.
