With the accelerating pace of the energy transition, the demand for biogas is rapidly increasing across the energy and infrastructure value chain. Whether that is in the anaerobic digestion of organic matter, renewable energy production or the transportation sector, biogas has a significant role in the road to climate neutrality.

Our expert panel will discuss the current biogas market in Europe, the current strategies at play across the biogas value chain from investment to offtake, and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Discussion points:

- Overview of the European market, where we are at right now, and the importance of biogas in the energy transition

- The strategies at play in the market: investment strategies, supply of feedstock strategies and offtaker strategies

- What challenges (and solutions!) lie ahead

Speakers:

- Annamaria Pinzuti, Partner, Ashurst (Moderator)

- Hugo Albert, Principal, Energy & Environment, Roland Berger

- Silas Harbo, Country Lead Denmark, Infranode

- Andrea Qualiano, Head of Green Gas Origination & Gas Supply Portfolio Decarbonization, Edison
