Understanding Project Finance, PPPs and Private Financing

Since this course was first launched in 2014, it has evolved with the inclusion of private financing and recent innovations in the Australian PPP procurement and financing market.

The course provides a perspective on the Australian PPP project lifecycle covering procurement, and risk management and how these projects are typically financed using project finance techniques. No prior knowledge is required.

Through discussion of contractual structures, and risk management techniques used in PPP projects, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Australian procurement process and current trends, how risks are managed and allocated and commercial structuring. Through case studies and exercises participants examine how; project financing is used in these projects, market forecasts and  cashflows are used, how project finance structure is documented in debt term sheets, and the impact of counterparties on the structure.

Attendees will also be able to form connections with the other attendees through collective working.

Who will be leading this course? The course will be facilitated by Ian Greer and Martin Locke, leading practitioners in the project finance market. Training will take place in the form of interactive discussions, working groups and case studies.

Each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion upon request, plus 18 CPD points.
