Warming Up for the New Heat Market in the Netherlands

District heating is a much-debated topic in the Netherlands. Legislative and regulatory overhaul, debate on public ownership as well as financing difficulties make business cases for district heating challenging.

At the same time, up to 100.000 residences need to be connected to renewable district heating annually (as opposed to 15.000 now) in order to meet decarbonization goals.

During this event you will learn the key challenges for district heating projects and the possible solutions.

Discussion Points:

 - Challenges of district heating business cases

- The role and implementation of public ownership in heat companies

- Project and project finance risks for district heat networks

Speaker Line Up

- Ivan Das, Director Project Finance Europe, Africa & Asia, Rabobank

- Léone Klapwijk, Partner, Van Doorne

- Roelof Potters, Program Manager Heat Systems Transition, Alliander

More Speakers to be announced shortly.
