BESS in Ireland: Opportunities and challenges

With Ireland’s ambitious targets for 2030 including up to 80% of renewable electricity, energy storage will becoming increasingly important in maintaining grid stability, managing demand and supply, and reducing curtailment. Ireland is at a critical point in the development of the energy storage sector with a need for improved regulatory frameworks, certainty on future systems services arrangements and other revenue models to facilitate increased investment in the sector.

Join us as our panel discuss the opportunities and challenges in the Irish energy storage market, in particular in developing investment certainty and the role of Government, regulators, system operators and other stakeholders in realising that opportunity.
