Decarbonising Heat at Scale: Future Leaders EOY Drinks Reception

Heating accounts for 20% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions, making the electrification of heat a key lever for the UK to decarbonise at scale. With their ability to unlock diverse, large-scale renewable and recovered heat sources and deliver broader system benefits, heat networks are central to this.

This year, the UK has made clear progress towards its ambition for heat networks to meet 20% of heat demand with several procurements launched for district-scale heat networks.

With heat network zoning and Ofgem regulation set to take effect in 2026, join us, along with your Future Leaders, to hear from our panel as they explore the challenges and opportunities ahead for heat networks in the UK. Drawing on international case studies, the discussion will highlight what these developments mean for infrastructure investors, developers, and financiers.

We look forward to seeing you there to round off the year with a great evening of new connections and conversation!
