IPFA UK Future Leaders Network, London
Infrastructure Investment: Project Finance in Africa
Africa’s annual infrastructure investment needs are estimated to be between $130 - $170 billion but actual spending is in fact closer to $80 billion, the result being a significant financing gap. To bridge this gap, project finance has played and continues to play a pivotal role in the provision of capital, through a blend of both private sector and non-private funding sources such as governments or development finance institutions. Growth in the continent can largely be attributed to the acceleration of urbanisation, demand for infrastructure, the energy transition and global investment initiatives such as the EU’s Global Gateway.
Join us, along with your peers for an engaging discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges ahead for continued investment in Africa through project finance and what this means for investors, developers and lenders.
Whether you’re new to the IPFA Future Leaders Network in London or joining us once again, this event is a great chance to build your understanding, ask questions, and connect with peers and professionals shaping the future of energy finance.
We look forward to seeing you there!
