Uncertainties and Opportunities in the NEM’s Investment Landscape

The NEM is entering a pivotal phase where the question of over or under supply will determine the next decade of commercial outcomes. Market views are sharply divided, and a small set of uncertainties could push the system in very different directions. This panel discussion will debate how coal closure timing, CIS and LTESA delivery, renewable and storage build out, transmission constraints, data centre demand, and weather variability are shaping these diverging outlooks and where the real risks and opportunities lie.

There will also be a presentation on fresh modelling and survey insights that quantify the potential impacts, from shifts in state level prices to changes in battery project IRRs and broader asset economics.

This session is designed to give developers, investors and decision makers a clear commercial read on the forces that matter most and how to position for both upside and downside futures across the NEM.

Speakers to be announced soon.
