The Great Delivery Debate: Public, Private or Partnership?
Ireland's infrastructure ambitions continue to grow across transport, energy, housing, water and digital infrastructure. The challenge is no longer identifying what needs to be built, but determining how major infrastructure projects should be delivered.
From traditional public procurement and semi-state delivery models to PPPs, concessions, institutional capital partnerships and privately financed infrastructure, a wide range of delivery models is available. Each offers different advantages and challenges depending on the asset, sector and policy objectives.
This event will bring together senior leaders from across Ireland's infrastructure ecosystem to explore the strengths, limitations and practical application of different delivery approaches.
Rather than asking whether one model is "right" or "wrong", the discussion will focus on a more important question:
How can Ireland choose the right delivery model for the right asset, at the right time?
The panel will examine lessons from past projects, emerging market trends, risk allocation, financing structures and the role of public and private sector collaboration in delivering major infrastructure.
Attendees will gain insights into where different delivery models are best applied and contribute their own perspectives on how Ireland can best deliver the infrastructure required to support future economic growth and competitiveness.
